Christoph Jungmann

Christoph Jungmann (* 1962 ) is a German actor and cabaret artist who lives and works in Berlin.

Live and act

For decades, Jungmann has continuously shown acting activities in three fields:

cabaret

Christoph Jungmann was a member of the cabaret group Zwei Third , which was founded in West Berlin a. a. in the Hoftheater-Kreuzberg (Muskauer Str.), in the Mehringhof-Theater and in the (old) Tempodrom-tent in the Berlin Tiergarten or in the tent at Golgatha (all Berlin), later with several music theater productions in the Cafe Theater Schalotte, the BKA-Theater , the Theater am Halleschen Ufer and the SO36.

Jungmann played in the group together with Uwe Weinzierl (now known as the "horse whisperer"), Barbara Klehr (with him today with the Gorillas ), Robert Munzinger ( Gorillas ), Thomas "Schnulli" Koppelberg and Gabi Schmalz. For many years, Christoph Jungmann has moderated the cabaret annual review in the Mehringhof Theater and Theater am Kurfürstendamm as Angela Merkel , which he designed together with Bov Bjerg , Hannes Heesch , Horst Evers and Manfred Maurenbrecher .

Theater acting and directing

Jungmann plays all of Shakespeare's works (slightly abbreviated) on the vague stage and directed Igor Stravinsky's The Story of the Soldier in the Berlin Philharmonic .

Improv theater

As chairman of Impro Deutschland e. V. , he was the source of ideas for the Theater Sport World Cup in the art and culture program of the Federal Government for the 2006 World Cup . Today he plays for Die Gorillas und Theatersport Berlin . Jungmann also organizes and directs the largest improv festival in Europe.

music

At the beginning of his career, Jungmann also appeared as a singer. Under the stage name 'Fred' he took the West Berlin NDW band at all three EP's on:

  • 1982: 'At all' (selftitled)
  • 1983: 'The funeral is delayed!' and 'straight to unknown'

Awards

In September 2018 Jungmann was honored as best actor at the DEA International Open Air Film Festival, Saranda in Albania, for the role of Frank Gehrlach in "Level Up Your Life" (director: Stefan Hillebrand / Oliver Paulus).
