Patricia Meeden (* 1986 in Berlin , Germany ) is a German actress , singer and musical artist .

Career

Patricia Meeden completed her training as a stage dancer at the State Ballet School Berlin . During her training, she performed at the Deutsche Oper and the State Opera Unter den Linden . In 2003 she also took part in the ensemble of the Schwanensee production at the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau . In May 2004 she finished her training with the qualification as a state-certified stage dancer . At the age of 18 she did a spontaneous musical casting and made her debut as the youngest member of the ensemble with Cats in Düsseldorf .

She played the leading role on the tour of Aida and in 2007 was engaged as a vocal soloist with Hair in Amstetten . At the beginning of 2008 she appeared in the Berlin Admiralspalast in the lead role of Laura Gomez in the musical Miami Nights (on tour). After she played in Gigi in the play of the same name at the Düsseldorf Theater an der Kö, she took to the stage as vocal soloist and understudy Vivian Pressman in Dirty Dancing - Das Original Live on Stage in Berlin . She had a guest role in six episodes of the Sat.1 TV series Anna und die Liebe . Since the German premiere of Sister Act , she has appeared on stage at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg as the alternating lead role Deloris van Cartier .

In August 2011 she was a participant in the Pro7 casting show The Voice of Germany . In the second episode, Xavier Naidoo , Nena and The Boss Hoss chose them during the blind auditions. Meeden decided to coach Naidoo, but was eliminated one round later against Mic Donet . She is still involved in Naidoo's The Voice project Sing for Your Life and has released two albums. In February and March 2012 she was one of the eight soloists who toured Germany with the Best of Musical Gala . She then played Pyron in the musical Moses in the St. Gallen Theater and Maria Magdalena in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (Theater Bonn). This was followed by the title role in the musical Aida by Elton John at the Thunerseespiele . She played the leading role in the musical Cabaret at Theater Plauen-Zwickau and again Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar at Theater Dortmund. In 2015 she appeared on stage as Ines for the musical Zorro at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg . From November 2015 she played the leading role of Rachel Marron in the musical Bodyguard in the Musical Dome Cologne for two years . Since September 2018 she can also be seen in this role at the Ronacher in Vienna. Since the end of September 2019, Meeden has been on stage in Hamburg as the first cast of the main role Vivian Ward in the European premiere of Pretty Woman alongside Mark Seibert .

Patricia Meeden continues to be involved in TV series. She played episodic roles in last track Berlin , SOKO Leipzig , SOKO Cologne , Heldt , Rosamunde Pilcher and was active in the Mercedes-Benz commercial What I like .

In the film adaptation of Cats by Tom Hooper , she sang the German dubbing of Jennifer Hudson ( Grizabella ).
