action

17-year-old Frances Houseman, known by everyone as Baby, is spending the summer vacation with her parents and sister Lisa at the Kellermans' hotel. The holiday threatens to be anything but exciting: During the day, games such as horseshoe throwing and charades as well as dance lessons for standard dances are organized, and the evening program with sketches and the appearance of a magician is in no way inferior to boredom.

But when one evening baby dares to venture into the area of the facility reserved for employees, she gets to know a completely different side of the hotel: night after night, dance teachers, waiters and entertainers let their hips down in hot, erotic "dirty dancing" style rotate. Here, too, the dance teacher and heartbreaker Johnny Castle, who Baby noticed before, is again the radiant focus.

By chance, Baby finds out that Penny, Johnny's dance partner, is in trouble. She accidentally got pregnant by one of the waiters and he is in no way willing to help her. Unfortunately, there is also an important appearance by Johnny and Penny coming up soon, which definitely has to take place. And so Baby not only helps out with money for an abortion, but also becomes Johnny's dance partner.

During rehearsals, Johnny and Baby slowly get closer, Johnny realizes that there is much more to the shy girl than meets the eye, and Baby also gets to know a completely different Johnny.

When Johnny is wrongly suspected of theft and the hitherto secret love of the two comes to light - much to the annoyance of the parents, who had completely different plans for their daughter - the dance teacher is fired. But summer is not over yet, rehearsals for the lavish final event are in full swing.
