The Theater an der Elbe (own name: Stage Theater an der Elbe ) is a musical theater of the Stage Entertainment Group in the Steinwerder district of Hamburg .

The house is right next to the “ Theater im Hafen Hamburg ” from Stage Entertainment . Construction work on the site of the former Stülcken shipyard began in October 2011 and the topping-out ceremony was held on March 13, 2013. Stage Entertainment announced the name of the theater in December 2013. The architecture is modern, the facade consists of 10,000 stainless steel shingles, the foyer is two-story, the glass facade of the interior is up to 12 meters high. The "Theater on the Elbe" has 1,850 seats. Just like the neighboring “Theater im Hafen Hamburg”, the new theater building can also be reached by ferry from the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken .

On November 23, 2014 the musical theater opened with the world premiere of the musical Das Wunder von Bern by Gil Mehmert , Martin Lingnau and Frank Ramond , based on Sönke Wortmann 's film of the same name .
