The theater Shachar was a Jewish private theater in Hamburg , which existed from 1998 by 2004.

history

The theater was founded in Hamburg in 1998 by the graphic artist and playwright Daniel Haw. Until 2002, the district culture center Haus Drei in Altona-Altstadt was the venue. In 2002 the cooperation with the Schachar Theater was ended by Haus Drei .

In 2003, the continuation of the game operations in the vacant studio in Bernstorffstrasse , among other things together with a cinema and an Israeli wine shop, was planned. According to Hamburger Abendblatt , the rooms in question were still empty at the end of 2003. The project was ultimately not implemented due to the costs. In 2004 there was a performance of a play by Bente Kahan and Ellen Foyn Bruun in the rooms of the Turkish Congregation in Hamburg at Hospitalstrasse 111. According to its own website, Theater Schachar stopped playing in 2006.
