Hamburger Sprachwerk
The Hamburger Sprachwerk is a free theater production founded in 2003. At first she played in the Deichtorhallen, among others . Since 2004 it has had a permanent venue in a former freight forwarding hall in the Hamburg district of Borgfelde .
The Hamburger Sprachwerk is one of Hamburg's off-theaters and is funded by the Hamburg cultural authority.
Since 2014 it has been the first off-theater with a permanent ensemble. “Word battles” Consisting of four actors: Ines Nieri , Stephan Arweiler, Jasmin Buterfas and Tom Pidde.
With its dimensions of 10.50 m deep x 15 m wide, the stage is one of the largest venues in Hamburg's off-theaters. The hall holds up to 125 seats.

The theater offers everything from performance to modern dance, from children's dance to comedies, classical dramas, music cabaret, concerts and theses from Hamburg's dance and drama schools.
The guest performers often include well-known actors, cabaret artists, and dancers.
