The Fleetstreet Theater was opened on March 9, 2006 in Hamburg with the performance of Ich gegen mich von Dostojewski , directed by Angela Richter.

At that time, it was made available free of charge by art patron Jochen Waitz to the young director Alex Krebs, who studied at the Institute for Theater, Music Theater and Film in Hamburg.

The theater, which offers 100 seats on 120 square meters, is intended to give changing young artists space for avant-garde pieces, on the six by six meter stage, discussions and concerts are to take place in addition to the theater performances. Old movies are also brought closer to the audience.
