Jeffrey Levy-Hinte

Jeffrey Levy-Hinte , also Jeffrey Kusama-Hinte , (* 1967 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American film producer .

Life

Levy-Hinte has been in the film business since the early 1990s. He studied at California State University, Northridge and the University of Michigan . From 1996 to 2006 he ran his own company, Post 391, which specialized in post production . During this time he was also involved in editing When We Were Kings .

Since 2000 he has been running his own production company, Antidote International Films. He produces feature films and documentaries alike. He gained his first experience in this area in the late 1990s.

The film The Kids Are All Right brought him an Oscar nomination for Best Picture in 2011 along with Gary Gilbert and Celine Rattray . In 1999 and 2004 he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award .

Levy-Hinte made his directorial debut in 2008 with the documentary Soul Power , followed by his second film in 2011 with Charlotte: A Wooden Boat Story .
