Susanne Bormann (born  August 2, 1979 in Kleinmachnow ) is a German actress .

life and career

Susanne Bormann was already eight years old in Michael Gwisdek's DEFA film Treffen in Travers on the screen. She was also active in acting during her further school years until her Abitur in 1999, without having this as a professional goal. On the advice of Andreas Dresen , she studied at the Rostock University of Music and Theater from 2000 to 2005 . Then until 2006 she was part of the ensemble of the State Theater Nuremberg .

Her best-known early cinema appearances include Liegen Learn (with Fabian Busch ), Freunde (with Benno Fürmann and Matthias Schweighöfer ) and Schlaraffenland (with Franka Potente , Heiner Lauterbach , Daniel Brühl and Denise Zich ). On television she played in series such as Die Männer vom K3 and Schimanski , but was also seen in leading roles in films such as Abgefahren , Falsche Liebe , Raus aus der Haut (by Andreas Dresen , also with Fabian Busch) and Andreas Dresen's Nachtgestalten . In 2005 she played the title role in the movie Polly Blue Eyes .

At the Nibelungen Festival in Worms 2009 Susanne Bormann played the role of Kriemhild in John von Düffel's comedy The Life of Siegfried .

Since around 2008 she was seen on television mainly in crime series, so she was in the mdr- Tatort in 2010 : Beautiful is different She played a major role in the two subsequent television films Assignment in Africa and The Hunt for White Gold (2012) . From 2012 to 2015, Bormann played a continuous role in the ZDF crime series Last Trace Berlin , which is about the search for missing people.

In addition to the crime film productions, she was seen in the ARD film adaptation of the Grimm fairy tale Die Gänsemagd as angry maid Magdalena alongside Karoline Herfurth .

In addition to small appearances in the cinema, she played an important role in the film Russendisko (2014) as the warm-hearted Hanna.

Others

Bormann has been the ambassador for the Hohenrode Park in Nordhausen ( Thuringia ), where her father comes from , since 2012 .

Bormann is in a relationship with the drummer Nicolai Ziel (" Dota and the City Pirates ", Von Eden), with whom she has two daughters.
