Florian Schott

Florian Schott (born March 16, 1982 in Essen ) is a German director , film producer and screenwriter living in Namibia .

Life

Schott studied film in Germany. He has been living in Namibia with his family since 2008. Schott became known through his films Katutura and the short films Everything Happens for a Reason and Baxu and the Giants . He was also an assistant director or director in numerous German film and television productions . Katutura was the first Namibian film to hit theaters.

Schott has won the Best Director award at the Namibian Theater and Film Awards several times and his films have also won various international awards, including the San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival
