Thomas Wehling

Thomas Wehling (* 1971 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German actor .

Life

From 1992 to 1996 Thomas Wehling studied at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . In addition to two permanent engagements at the Koblenz Theater and the Mainz State Theater , he has performed as a guest at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg , the Moers Castle Theater and the Bielefeld Theater , where he has been part of the permanent ensemble since the 2007/08 season.

Known roles were previously Wehlings of Mack the Knife in The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill , Mr. John in Gerhart Hauptmann's rats , the list in Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare and John Proctor in Arthur Miller's The Crucible . He embodied title characters as Wilhelm Voigt in Carl Zuckmayer's Der Hauptmann von Köpenick and in Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe . For his participation in the two-character play constellations of Nick Payne , directed by Dariush Yazdkhastis Wehling and his colleague were given Christina Huckle both the Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the NRW Theater Meeting 2017. Already in 2015 was Wehling from the club theater and concert friends Bielefeld with the spectacle Taler been awarded.

Wehling also works sporadically in front of the camera. In addition to guest appearances in various series, he had a small part in 2010 in the award-winning feature film Die Fremde with Sibel Kekilli in the leading role.
