Mariella Ahrens (birth name and stage name, real name: Mariella Countess von Faber-Castell , born  April 2, 1969 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a German actress .

Career

Ahrens was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) as the daughter of a German computer specialist and a Bulgarian ophthalmologist. She grew up in Bulgaria until she was three and moved to Berlin-Friedrichshain in the GDR in 1974 . After a previous rejection by the Ernst Busch Drama School , she completed her training as an actress at the “Der Kreis” drama school founded by Fritz Kirchhoff in Berlin . She made her first appearances in the Small Theater in the House of Young Talents in Berlin and in television films.

In addition to roles in TV series such as SOKO Leipzig , Sabine! or In the name of the law , she also played in the ZDF production Die Wüstenrose as well as many other ZDF productions such as Traumzeit and Rosamunde Pilcher films.

Ahrens was photographed for the March 2001 issue and as a cover girl for the March 2004 issue of German Playboy .

In 2004 she was a participant in the jungle camp , which she regrets now.

Private

Ahrens gave birth to her daughter Isabella Maria in 1999 in a relationship with the Croatian derivatives trader Dragan Banić. In 2001 Ahrens married the investment banker Jost Paffrath. A year later, the separation took place, in 2004 the divorce.

On December 12, 2006, Ahrens married Count Patrick von Faber-Castell in New York . Although she has been called Countess von Faber-Castell since then , she continues to use the stage name Ahrens. The couple had previously met at Verona and Franjo Pooth's wedding in Vienna in September 2005 and had been engaged since September 2006. The church wedding took place on July 7th, 2007 in the Martin Luther Church in Stein near Nuremberg . Ahrens' daughter was Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell adopted . Their daughter Lucia was born in March 2007. On November 5, 2012, the couple announced their separation "due to different life views".

Volunteering

Ahrens is a founding member, patron and deputy chairwoman of Lebensherbst e. V. , an association to support elderly people in need of care. Ahrens is the patron and guest lecturer of the Stageschool Salomon Academy in Düsseldorf . In 2006 she supported children in Swaziland as a World Vision Ambassador and in 2009 was the sponsor of the German Children's Prize . With her testimonial she supported the Berlin Pro Reli campaign that failed in April 2009 .
