The Small Theater Berlin-Mitte - not to be confused with the Small Theater on the Südwestkorso in Berlin-Friedenau - was founded in 1968 at the East Berlin House of Young Talents by the theater scholar Hansjörg Schneider , his wife, the master belt maker Siggi Brennemann, and the dancer Brigitte Schneider -Wulkow founded. For more than 20 years, theater for school beginners , young people and adults was made in the rooms on Klosterstraße .

After the House of Young Talents was closed in the summer of 1991, the Small Theater found a domicile in the "House of Children" on the Parkaue and in the Volkshochschule Berlin Mitte . The Kleine Theater is now an established touring theater and has been successful with its performances in Berlin and far beyond.
