Habnith

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Habnith is a district of the town of Marktleuthen in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge .

The Rundanger village with a pond in the center is located in a depression south of the town of Marktleuthen and has around 160 inhabitants. It was first documented in 1368, but the first settlement must be done well in advance, because the forest Egerer order speaks already in 1379 that the Notthafft have the village "Habnicht" established a good "the dagewest of old." The old post road from Wunsiedel to Hof , also called "Regensburger Straße", ran through the village . The remains can still be seen in the form of an old ravine next to the road towards Holzmühl.

Every year in June the Small Theater Berlin-Mitte in Habnith plays its traditional “Theater in the Stable”.
