action

The Berlin politician Hans-Werner Glehdorn recently became the single father of his three children, Michael, Jennifer and Toby. So that he can master the balancing act between work and family, he often asks his sister-in-law Claudia Weigoldt for help. However, since the children are annoyed by their aunt and have learned from their mother's will that they have a houseboat on the Müritz , they run away from home to inspect their vacation home. There they get to know Isabell, the young daughter of the Berlin contractor Harry Kolditz. She too has been on the run from her family since she left her fiancé standing in front of the altar. Now she is wanted by her father and the tabloids.

Since Hans-Werner suspects where his children are, he comes along later. He doesn't know who Isabell is, so he lets his children persuade him to employ them as housekeeping and nannies over the summer vacation. Initially, there was some friction between Hans-Werner and Isabell. But she manages to discover the grieving man behind the hard shell. She helps him to find peace of mind again, whereby the two get closer. But these intimate moments are photographed by a paparazzo and published in the tabloids. Suddenly Hans-Werner is suspected of corruption, because only recently he approved a large building contract from the city for Isabel's father. Thus, not only his career, but also his young love for Isabell is at stake.

Reviews

"Romantic (television) comedy in which social and political issues serve as a pale foil for the usual love banter."

"Yes, you guessed it, the story looks familiar right away, because director Jorgo Papavassiliou was clearly oriented towards Melville Shavelon's classic" Houseboat "with Sophia Loren and Cary Grant, which was written 50 years earlier. However, the romantic family comedy by Papavassilious [...] does not come close to the quality of its famous predecessor. Because Deutschmann is not Grant and Julia Koschitz [...] especially not the young Loren. Martin Rauhaus provided the predictable script. "

“In terms of esprit and dialogue joke, the TV show does not come close to the well-known Hollywood model 'Hausboot' (1958) with Sophia Loren and Cary Grant, but it provides entertainment on the entertainment steamer. [...] Quite a charming short trip into the blue "
