NGC 6149 is a 13.6 mag bright lenticular galaxy with an active galaxy core (LINER type) of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Hercules and about 114 million light years from the Milky Way.
It was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on April 3, 1887 .
