NGC 6157 is a 14.5 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 422 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years across.
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on June 28, 1886 .
