Aloisio Milanez Aguiar

Aloisio Milanez Aguiar (born July 23, 1943 in Rio de Janeiro ; † June 8, 2016 there ) was a Brazilian jazz musician ( piano , keyboard , composition , also celesta, marimba, percussion, vocals).

Aloisio Milanez Aguiar worked in Brazil and the USA a. a. with Victor Assis Brasil , Arthur Verocai , Gal Costa , Gilberto Gil , Jon Lucien , Cal Tjader ("Tamanco No Samba"), Ron Carter ( Patrão , 1980, among others with Chet Baker , Naná Vasconcelos ) and his wife Adela Dalto , also with Airto , Frank Colon and Gaudêncio Thiago de Mello . Under his own name he released the albums Child of the Universe (1992, with Claudio Roditi , Nilson Matta and Portinho), King of Hearts (1997, with Matta, Portinho, Sergio Brandão , Paulo Braga , Airto, Widor Santiago and Adela Dalto) and most recently To Jobim With Love / Live at Vartan Jazz (1998, with Brandão and Claudio Slon). In the field of jazz he was involved in 17 recording sessions between 1968 and 2005.
