Dominique Lacaud (born February 4, 1952 in Issoudun ) is a former French car racing driver and racing team owner.

Racing career

Dominique Lacaud was active as a sports car racing driver between 1978 and 2002 . Sometimes he reported the vehicles used through his own racing team. In 1978 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . He reported a Lola T297 , which he drove in the race with Michel Lateste and Jean-François Auboiron . The trio was not classified due to insufficient distance covered. He competed 10 times in the 24-hour race in western France. In 1980 he drove a BMW M1 together with Hans-Joachim Stuck and Hans-Georg Bürger to take 15th place in the overall ranking. In 1987 he was eleventh overall and in 1989 overall tenth.

In 1984 he won the overall ranking of the French circuit championship with five victories this season. Lacaud was for many years as a mountain racer active and had his last race at the 500-km race at Dijon 2002 .
