Sylvain Boulay
Sylvain Boulay (born July 3, 1955 in Saint-Mars-d'Outillé ) is a former French racing driver .
Career in motorsport
Sylvain Boulay has competed in the Le Mans 24-hour race seven times in his career . He made his debut in 1987 for the racing team of his compatriot Louis Descartes . He was able to finish the race with his partners Michel Lateste and Gérard Tremblay , but the team was not rated due to the lack of distance covered. 13 years later, on his fourth appearance, he achieved first place in the overall classification. He drove a WR LMP from Welter Racing with his partners Richard Balandras and Yōjirō Terada in 26th place in the final classification. His best placement at Le Mans was finishing 24th in 2003 ; retracted together with Michele Rugolo and Jean-Bernard Bouvet on a Durango LMP1 .
His best result apart from Le Mans was eleventh place in the 2004 Spa-Francorchamps 1000 km race .
