The 18th Brands Hatch 1000 km race , also Brands Hatch 1000 kms, FIA World Sports Prototype Championship, Brands Hatch , took place on July 24, 1988 and was the seventh round of this year 's World Sports Car Championship .

The race

The pole position for the 1000 km race at the circuit of Brands Hatch , the Italians reached Mauro Baldi on a Sauber C9 . The driven time of 1,14.710 minutes corresponded to an average speed of 203.109 km / h. The race was won by John Nielsen , Martin Brundle and Andy Wallace in a Jaguar XJR-9.
