Robin Donovan

Robin Donovan (born December 19, 1955 ) is a retired British automobile racing driver .

Career

Donovan was primarily active in sports car racing and has competed 14 times in the Le Mans 24-hour race in his long career . He made his debut in 1986 for the small British Bartlett team, which ran a Bardon DB1 with a Cosworth V8 engine. Donovan's team was not rated because the distance was too short at the end of the race. He achieved his first place in 1988 when he finished 25th overall for the team of the Norwegian European Rallycross Champion Martin Schanche . In 1992 he was the Porsche 962 of Kremer Racing eleventh and 1994 he achieved his best result when he in Kremer K8 Spyder was the overall ranking sixth.

His last start at the Sarthe ended prematurely in 2001 in a Porsche 911 GT3 after an accident after 44 laps.
