Terry Lingner

Terry Lingner (born November 29, 1954 in Indianapolis ) is an American television producer and former racing car driver and racing team owner.

Television producer

Terry Lingner worked as a production assistant for the US television station ABC at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . In 1989 he founded his own production company Lingner Group Productions and worked for many years at ESPN for the motor sports broadcasts of the NASCAR of Champ Car and Formula 1 responsible. As of 2001, his company exclusively produced all motorsport broadcasts from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway . These included the Indianapolis 500 , the Brickyard 400 and the US Grand Prix . He produced the SpeedWeek motorsport program for ESPN for 14 years .

Racing career

Terry Lingner was active as a racing driver between 1992 and 2002. He competed in the Daytona 24-hour race , the Sebring 12-hour race and the Le Mans 24-hour race . His best finish was 11th in the IMSA Supercar race at Lime Rock Park in 1992.
