Ranieri Randaccio (born May 24, 1952 in Rome ) is an Italian racing driver .

Racing career

Ranieri Randaccio was active in sports car racing for many years . His international career began during the World Sports Car Championship in 1977 when he competed in the 500 km race in Monza and the 400 km race in Vallelunga . That was when the friendship began with Stefano Sebastiani , who was his team partner again and again in the years to come. Randaccio contested 135 races until 2009, including in the sports car world championship and the Inter and Le Mans series . From 2010 he started mainly in national Italian racing series.

He achieved his three race victories in the interseries. In 1995 he won the races in Zeltweg and Jarama on a Fondmetal FG-01 . In 1996 there was another success in Zeltweg .

Randaccio also competed in the 12-hour race at Sebring and the 24-hour race in Le Mans and was at the start in the last race in the history of the World Sports Car Championship. At the 500 km race at Magny-Cours in 1992 , he and his partner Sebastini finished eighth in the Spice SE90C .
