Suzuka 1000 km race in 1992

The 1992 Suzuka 1000 km race , also known as the SWC Suzuka 1000 km, Suzuka , took place on August 30th on the Suzuka International Racing Course and was the fifth round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

Like the races of the sports car world championship earlier this year, the 1000 km race in Suzuka was marked by the clear superiority of the Peugeot works team. At the finish line, the winning duo Derek Warwick and Yannick Dalmas in the Peugeot 905 Evo 1 had a lead of one lap over the Toyota TS010 , driven by Jan Lammers , Geoff Lees and David Brabham .
