Cornelius "Cor" Euser (born April 25, 1957 in Oss ) is a Dutch car and motorcycle racing driver .

Career

Monoposto

Euser took his first steps in motorsport in the late 1970s with motorcycles; he competed in races for the Dutch 500 cc championship. With financial support from Marlboro Netherlands , he joined Formula Ford in 1980 . With Huub Rothengatter and Arie Luyendyk as teammates in the Marlboro Racing Team Holland , he won the Dutch Formula Ford Championship in 1980 and 1981. In 1981 he also won the European Formula Ford Championship with a two-point lead over Marc Duez . In contrast to Formula Ford, his involvement in Formula 3 and Formula 3000 remained largely unsuccessful, so that Euser switched to sports cars in 1989.

Sports car

In 1990 , 1991 and the 1992 Sports Car World Championship , he competed in the last three seasons of the Sports Car World Championship . At the same time, he drove in 1991 races in the German Touring Car Championship . In the mid-1990s he became a works driver for Marcos Cars . With the Marcos LM600 he drove a variety of sports cars and GT races . By the end of the 2013 season, he had achieved eleven overall and seven class wins.

Several times he was registered in the 24-hour races of Le Mans and Zolder , among others . His best place in Le Mans was tenth place in 1994 , together with Matiaz Tomlje and Patrick Huisman in the Konrad - Porsche 964 RSR . In 2006 he was second overall in Zolder .
