Matiaz Tomlje , also Matjaz Tomlje (born November 10, 1954 ) is a former Slovenian racing car driver .

Career

Matiaz Tomlje is the first and so far only Slovenian racing driver to take part in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1994 he competed for Konrad Motorsport on the side of Cor Euser and Patrick Huisman . The trio achieved tenth place in the overall standings in a Porsche 964 RSR . In 1995 Tomlje was supposed to start again at Le Mans with Eric van de Poele and Olivier Beretta in a Courage C41 , but the vehicle was disqualified before the start of the race because it was too light.
