The Detroit Dragons were an American ice hockey franchise of the All American Hockey League based in Fraser , Michigan . They played in the 3,400-seat Great Lakes Sports City Superior Arena .

The franchise was founded in 2008 under the name Motor City Gamblers . You should be playing in the Midwest Hockey League . The league never started playing and merged with the AAHL. Together with the Madison Ice Muskies , the Motor City Gamblers moved to the new league and changed their name to Detroit Dragons. But after 14 games and despite eleven wins, the franchise stopped playing for financial reasons. The league replaced them with the Chicago Blaze .
