The Wooster Korn Kings were an American ice hockey franchise of the All American Hockey League based in Wooster , Ohio . They last played in the 900-seat Alice Noble Ice Arena .
history
The franchise was founded in 2009 as a partner team of the Flint Generals from the International Hockey League . The Ice Muskies were originally supposed to play in the Midwest Hockey League , but this merged with the AAHL.
But already during the first season the Ice Muskies had to stop playing on January 15, 2010 for financial reasons. The owners of the franchise had already paid neither the players nor the coach as of October 2009.
There were plans to reintegrate the club into the AAHL for the new season under new owners. For the 2010/11 season , the Madison Ice Muskies returned to the AAHL, but were relocated to Wooster , Ohio , before the start of the season , and renamed Wooster Korn Kings in October 2010 . After only five games at the new location, however, the team surprisingly stopped playing again.
