Linda Breitlauch
Linda Breitlauch (born July 4, 1966 in Seesen ) is a German media scientist and professor of game design .
Life
Linda Breitlauch first studied business administration before completing a degree in film and television dramaturgy at the University of Film and Television in Potsdam . In 2008 she did her doctorate at the Humboldt University / HFF ( Audiovisual Media course ) on dramaturgy in computer games . In addition to project management in export and publishing , she carried out various film projects as a creative producer , wrote scripts , game concepts as well as scientific and specialist journalistic articles. In 2007, she became Europe's first professor of game design at the Media Design School of Design and computer science in Dusseldorf appointed . From June 2013 she was head of the "Media Studies Game Design and Gamification (BA)" course at the GA University of the Digital Society in Berlin , and from January to March 2014 she was the founding president. Since April 2014 she has been teaching Intermedia Games at the Trier University of Applied Sciences in the Intermedia Design course .
Her work focuses on the areas of interactive storytelling , dramaturgy and serious games .
