Alfa Romeo T33 / SC / 12

The 16th 500 km race in Monza , also Trofeo Filippo Caracciolo, Campionato Mondiale Vetture Sport, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza , took place on April 24, 1977 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and was the fourth round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The race in Monza was the second event for Group 6 racing cars in the 1977 World Sports Car Championship . Once again there was an overall victory for the Alfa Romeo T33 / SC / 12 used by Autodelta . However, both Vittorio Brambilla and Arturo Merzario had to contest the race without changing drivers. The intended team partner for both cars, Jean-Pierre Jarier, fell ill on race day and was unable to start.
