His best place in a world championship race was third in the 1000 km race in Buenos Aires in 1972 , together with Carlo Facetti and Andrea de Adamich in the Alfa Romeo T33 / 3-71. His last race on the circuit was the 1000 km Mugello race in 1982 , a round of that year's World Sports Car Championship . Alberti drove a Lancia Stratos together with Antonio Codognelli to ninth place in the overall ranking.
