The 6-Hours of Watkins Glen 1975 , also 6-Hours and the Formula 5000, The Glen, Watkins Glen Grand Prix Circuit , took place on July 13th in Watkins Glen and was the ninth round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The sports car world championship in 1975 , which was all about Alfa Romeo , ended with the 6-hour race at Watkins Glen . The Alfa Romeo T33 / TT / 12 used by the German Willi Kauhsen Racing Team were also superior to the competition in this race. Henri Pescarolo and Derek Bell won with a lead of 1 minute and 20 seconds over teammates Arturo Merzario and Mario Andretti .

On the same day there was also a race in the US Formula 5000 Championship , which Brian Redman won ahead of Al Unser (both Lola T332s ). The Formula 5000 started in the morning, the 1000 km race in the afternoon. There Redman went along with Sam Posey one plant - BMW 3.0CSL the sixth Steller overall and class win.
