Paul Miller (born March 6, 1945 in Washington, DC ) is a former American car racing driver and racing team owner.

Racing career

Paul Miller is the brother of Kenper Miller , who is a year younger and was also a racing driver. His son Bryce also became a professional motor sportsman. Miller already competed in sports car races in the USA in the 1960s and was one of the leading drivers in the IMSA GT series in the 1970s . 1977 he won together with the Canadians Ludwig Heimrath senior on a Porsche 934/5 , the 6-hour race at Mosport , a racing event, which this year for the World Sportscar Championship counted.

Miller competed three times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans , but never got a place there. His greatest success at Sebring was second overall in 1979 , which he achieved together with Charles Mendez and Brian Redman in a Porsche 935 . He competed nine times in the Daytona 24-hour race , where he finished tenth overall in 1988 and won the GTO racing car class. The GTO class was the racing class of the production racing cars of the IMSA GTP series .

Paul Miller Racing

In the 1980s, Miller began building his own racing team. With vehicles from the Porsche brand , he was mainly involved in the IMSA GT and GTP series . Well-known drivers were Bob Akin (who had his birthday on the same day as Miller), Brian Redman and Hans-Joachim Stuck . The team based in Buford is currently driving in the TUDOR USCC racing series. Drivers are next to son Bryce Christopher Haase and Dion von Moltke . The emergency vehicle is an Audi R8 LMS

In addition to racing activities, Miller runs a car dealership including workshops for BMW vehicles .
