Christopher Haase (born September 26, 1987 in Kulmbach ) is a German automobile racing driver .

Career

His career began in 2006 in the ADAC Logan Cup . After participating, he switched to the newly founded ADAC GT Masters in 2007 , which he completed for the Reiter Engineering team in a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 in the first season as the overall winner of the 2007 ADAC GT Masters.

In 2008 he continued his career in the same series and with the same team. His teammate, with whom he became runner-up in 2008, was Albert Prince von Thurn und Taxis . At the same time, he won the European Cup in the GT4 superlight class in 2008 on a KTM X-Bow .

In 2009 he competed in the FIA GT3 European Championship for Team Phoenix Racing in an Audi R8 LMS and made guest starts in the ADAC GT Masters, and also took part as a guest driver in the BFGoodrich endurance championship in a BMW M3 from Team Motorsport Lingmann and a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S from the Mühlner Motorsport team. In 2010 Haase competed in the FIA GT1 World Championship with Dutchman Peter Kox in a Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT for the Reiter Engineering team. At the Sepang 12-hour race in Malaysia, he was able to achieve 1st place. For Mercedes-Benz he and Thomas Jäger achieved the first victory of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 on October 16, 2010 at the 34th DMV 250-mile race. In 2014, Christopher Haase started again at the Daytona 24 Hours, where he was able to secure pole position for the race. Due to a technical defect, however, he was unable to defend this position. In the 2014 season, Christopher Haase started for Paul Miller's racing team in the American TUDOR USCC. He finished the season with the runner-up title. In June 2014 Haase achieved the second overall victory in an Audi R8 LMS ultra, together with his teammates René Rast , Markus Winkelhock and Christian Mamerow , in the legendary 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

In 2015, Christopher Haase started for the first time at 12h from Bathurst / Australia. Here he took 9th place together with his colleagues Stéphane Ortelli and the extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner . Haase was also active again in America and took 3rd place in the overall ranking of the IMSA TUDOR USCC.

In 2016 Christopher Haase returned to Europe and competed in races in an Audi R8 LMS in the ADAC GT Masters and the Blancpain GT Series. He won the Sepang 12h race with Audi. This was Haase's second victory in Malaysia after 2010.

In 2017 Haase will be competing in the ADAC GT Masters with the Montaplast by Land-Motorsport team and his teammate Jeffrey Schmidt. In Europe, he competes in the Blancpain Endurance and Sprint Series races with the Saintéloc Racing team.
