The seventh 1000 km race of Zeltweg , also 1000 km Zeltweg , took place on June 29, 1975 at the Österreichring and was the eighth race of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The Alfa Romeo T33 / TT / 12s used by the Willi Kauhsen Racing Team were also safe in the overall standings at the world championship run at the Österreichring . The race had to be stopped after driving nearly 600 kilometers during a thunderstorm and was not restarted. Alfa Romeo scored a double victory with the teams Derek Bell / Henri Pescarolo and Arturo Merzario / Vittorio Brambilla . Jody Scheckter, a guest starter in the sports car world championship, drove an Alpine-Renault A442 this time . Team partner was Patrick Depailler , his racing partner in theFormula 1 . There the two started in 1975 for Tyrrell . In Zeltweg, a defective timing chain on the Alpine stopped her ambitions for a top spot.
