1969 Watkins Glen 6 hour race
The second 6-hour race of Watkins Glen , also Six-Hours and Can-Am, Watkins Glen Grand Prix Course , took place on July 12, 1969 in Watkins Glen and was the ninth round of the World Sports Car Championship of that year.
The race
With the success of Jo Siffert and Brian Redman in the Porsche 908/02 secured Porsche championship one race before the end of the one-make cup of the World Sportscar Championship 1969 . After a driving time of 6: 01: 10.100 hours, she won by more than 1 minute and 30 seconds over her fellow brands and types, Vic Elford and Richard Attwood . The best non-Porsche was the Matra MS650 driven by Johnny Servoz-Gavin and Pedro Rodríguez , who finished in fourth place.
