The eleventh 1000 km race of Spa-Francorchamps , also 1000 km. Spa Trophee Diners Club, Spa-Francorchamps , took place on September 5, 1982 on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and was the fifth round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

In 1982 the 1000 km race at Spa-Francorchamps returned to the racing calendar of the World Sports Car Championship. The last race before the seven-year break had won Henri Pescarolo and Derek Bell in the Alfa Romeo 33TT12 of the Willi Kauhsen Racing Team . Also in 1982 Derek Bell had gone into the race with a real chance to win, but lost by just under six hours driving time with partner Vern Schuppan the Porsche -Teamkollegen Jacky Ickx and Jochen Mass be clearly beaten. Henri Pescarolo, together with Jean-Pierre Jaussaud and Jean Rondeau , drove a Rondeau M382 to eighth place overall.
