Luigi Moreschi

Luigi Moreschi (born December 6, 1947 ) is a former Italian car racing driver and racing team owner.

Career in motorsport

Luigi Moreschi first mention in international motorsport took place in May 1970 when he was registered on an AMS SP of the Scuderia Brescia Corse for the Targa Florio of this year . He couldn't finish the race. He was able to celebrate his first finish at the 1000 km race in Zeltweg in 1970 . Together with Marsilio Pasotti , he reached ninth place in the overall ranking.

In the 1970s, the Italian mainly competed in national sports car races. He finished the championship run for the 1973 Italian sports car championship in Monza on a Lola T212 in third place. In 1977, he won together with Antonio Ferrari at the 6-hour race at Vallelunga ; The racing car was a Porsche 935 . In the late 1970s, he entered the Italian Group 6 championship and won a total of four championship races. In 1981 and 1982 he competed for Osella in the World Sports Car Championship . In both the 1000 km race in Monza and the 6-hour race in Pergusa , he and Carlo Franchi achieved third place in the overall standings on an Osella PA9 .
