Vallelunga 6-hour race in 1977

Group 5 Dallara X1 / 9

The 6-hour race of Vallelunga 1977 , also 6 Ore di Vallelunga, Vallelunga , took place on October 23 at the Autodromo Vallelunga and was the 17th and final race of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The fact that the Manufacturers' World Championship had long been decided in October 1977 was evident from the lack of noteworthy starters at the 6-hour race in Vallelunga. From the internationally active team only came BMW the 320i to the event. However, the car had an accident during training and was then unable to take part in the race. The second race of the year in Vallelunga - in June Vittorio Brambilla had won the 400 km race in an Alfa Romeo T33 / SC / 12 - ended with the overall victory of Luigi Moreschi and Antonio Ferrari in a Porsche 935 .
