Carlo Pietromarchi
Carlo Pietromarchi (born March 27, 1937 in Rome ) is a former Italian racing driver .
Racing career
Carlo Pietromarchi began his career in Italian GT racing in the early 1960s . From the mid-1970s he became a regular starter in races in the World Sports Car Championship . His greatest success in this championship was third place in the Vallelunga 6-hour race in 1977 . Fourteen years later, after six years without racing, he was able to finish this event with an overall victory on his last start .
In 1979 he contested his only 24-hour race at Le Mans . The De Tomaso Pantera , which he drove together with Gianfranco Brancatelli and Maurizio Micangeli , was not classified due to insufficient distance covered .
