Mugello 6-hour race in 1977

The 1977 Mugello 6-hour race , also known as the 6-hour Mugello race , took place on March 20th at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello . The race was the second round of the sports car world championship this year.

The race

The European sports car world championship season in 1977 began with the race in Mugello . The event turned into a championship run by the Porsche racing cars, which made up the majority of the starters. The superiority of the factory - Porsche 935 , was not slowed down by the failure of the Mass / Barth -935. Teammates Rolf Stommelen and Manfred Schurti six laps ahead of Martino Finotto , Carlo Facetti and Romeo Camathias' Jolly Club 935 .
