Pierre Dieudonné (born March 24, 1947 in Brussels ) is a former Belgian racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Pierre Dieudonné was best known as a touring and sports car racing driver. However, he began his career in monoposto sports . He entered the British Formula 3 Championship in 1975 via Formula Super Vee . In 1975 he finished this racing series in ninth place in the overall standings. With little experience in a closed racing car, he achieved a surprising success in 1976. He won four races with team partner Jean Xhenceval and was European Touring Car Champion at the end of the season .

Despite this success, Dieudonné tried to gain a foothold in Formula 3 over the next few years . After a few unsatisfactory attempts, he continued to drive successful touring car races and entered the sports car world championship in 1981 as a Mazda works driver . He won the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race twice, in 1974 and 1981 .

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans , his best finish was sixth overall in 1982 . Dieudonné won a total of 20 touring car races and was on the podium of the top three 52 times in touring and sports car races.
