Jean-Bernard Bouvet (born July 17, 1969 in Mamers ) is a French racing driver .

Career

Monopostosport

Jean-Bernard Bouvet began his career in 1991 in the French Formula Ford 1600 Championship . In 1992 he finished this championship in third place overall. After winning the championship in 1993, he switched to Formula Opel and the French Formula 3 championship in 1994 . With an 18th place in this championship (overall winner Jean-Philippe Belloc ), he put an end to his monoposto ambitions early on.

GT, touring and sports car sports

In 1993 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he competed eight times. He had most of the assignments for Welter Racing ; he competed five times for Gérard Welter's team . The best places in the final classification were the 20th places in 1993 and 2002 .

His greatest success in touring car racing was the overall victory in the French touring car championship in 2000. Since 2011 he has been contesting races for the V de V Challenge Endurance , where he was runner-up in 2014 behind Patrice Lafargue .
