Markus Lonardoni (* 1963) is a German musician and film composer and author . Lonardoni, who lives in Aalen, writes music for films and television productions.

Life

After studying at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts from 1980 to 1985, he went on a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston . There he studied composition and film music until 1989 . In 1990 he was a member of the master class of the avant-garde composer Hans Werner Henze at the Cologne University of Music.

After completing his studies, Lonardoni initially worked as a freelance musician with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra and the Stuttgart State Theater , and as a guest lecturer at various music academies.

Lonardoni has been a freelance film composer since 1994.

Film music

From 1996 to 2015 Lonardoni wrote the film music for over 40 television productions from the TV series Tatort (ARD), Polizeiruf 110 (ARD), Ein Fall für Zwei (ZDF), Alarm für Cobra 11 (RTL), and for the films Happy Birthday, Türke by Doris Dörrie (together with Peer Raben ) (cinema 1991), Wonded faces (cinema 1991), The true story of men and women (cinema together with Peer Raben 1992), Friedrich and the enchanted burglar (cinema 1996), Spiel um dein Leben (ARD 1996), Portrait of a Judge (ARD 1997), Breathless Love (1998), Sweet little sixteen (1999), Alles Samba (2003) and Love on Probation (2003). In addition, from 2002–2016 he composed the music for 52 episodes of the ZDF documentary series Schliemanns Erben / Terra X, in 2008 he composed the film music for the ten-part ZDF television documentary Die Deutschen by Guido Knopp with Paul Rabiger . Also for Stauffenberg - The True Story , (ZDF) also by Guido Knopp, the three-part documentary "Mythos Rommel (ARD)" by Maurice Philip Remy , Lonardoni composed the complete film music.
