Osian's Cinefan

Osian's Cinefan is a film festival for Asian and Arabic films. It has been held annually in July in the Indian capital New Delhi since 1999 .

The quarterly film magazine Cinemaya , which has been published in New Delhi since 1988, initiated the first festival in 1999. It is presented by the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) and supported by the Delhi government. The focus of the first festival was Japanese film and Indian art film .

Since 2004 the festival has also been supported by Osian's Connoisseurs of Art and is called Osian's-Cinefan . The festival director is Cinemaya Editor and President of NETPAC Aruna Vasudev .

Prizes are awarded in several categories by an international jury. Independent juries also award NETPAC and FIPRESCI prizes .
