Alles Samba is a German television film by Bernd Böhlich from 2003 with Gudrun Landgrebe and Günther Maria Halmer . The Christmas comedy is about the purging of an ambitious businesswoman by her Brazilian godchild.

action

Four years ago, the renowned art expert Katharina Diezmann sponsored a Brazilian orphan. When the now eleven-year-old Marcia is in Berlin with a samba troupe shortly before Christmas, she goes to see her godmother unannounced. She wants to finally get to know her patroness, but she also wants to see real snow. At first Katharina is not very enthusiastic when the lively Marcia stumbles into her well-organized life. She wants to get rid of the child as soon as possible, but the supervisor Claudio Bachmann, head of the Brazilian cultural institute, can convince her to take care of Marcia for the next few days. Katharina agrees, but now has to take the girl with her to her business because she doesn't want to leave her alone in her apartment. That turns out to be quite positive, as Marcia's lightheartedness helps her to convince an old lady to finally sell her a valuable picture. As a thank you, she tries to grant the girl her wish for snow and, following the example of Mrs. Holle, organizes snowfall from bed springs in front of the window. With this, Katharina hopes to speed up Marcia's departure, because she has to go abroad urgently before Christmas. But in the end the girl won the lonely career woman's heart, because when Marcia suddenly fell ill, Katharina couldn't manage to leave her behind. To the annoyance of her boss, she cancels the trip. Although the child completely thwarted her plans, she would like to organize a really nice German Christmas party for her. Marcia had shown her how easy it is to be happy. So she meets again and again with Claudio Bachmann and the two get closer. Marcia hopes to have a real little family soon. In any case, it does snow.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from Tittelbach.tv said about this production: “If you don't know that money and success in your job do not make you happy - you will get tutoring on good humanity at 'Alles Samba'. Such pre-Christmas wrist warmers can be made imaginative, fairytale-like and with a twinkle in the eye, or just sentimental and full of embarrassments. The ARD decided on the latter. The story is so believable, the purified landgrave, Halmer as a Brazilian or the children's tears are as real as the Christ Child in summer. This film is a slap in the face for the real feelings and the Christmas bonus for those involved, above all the Eastern director Bernd Böhlich, who once started his career in Germany with two Grimme prizes, or Ulrich Mühe. A clear case for the rod! "
