The Neckar Aline club was an economic cartel of the salt pans Clemens Hall ( Offenau ), Ludwig ( Bad Rappenau ), Ludwig Hall ( Bad Wimpfen ) and Frederick Hall ( Jagstfeld ) for protection against their respective competitors . Name-defining is the common location on the Neckar , where prehistoric residents z. B. in Heinsheim discovered salt seams with brine outflow .

With its existence from 1828 to 1936, it was the oldest and longest effective German sales cartel : The members guaranteed each other a monopoly on the sale of their own products in their own country, while the export of corresponding products from the cartel area was jointly contractually agreed agreed quotas took place.
