Eberhard Geick

Eberhard Geick (born September 18, 1944 in Magdeburg ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Eberhard Geick studied from 1969 to 1973 at the College for Film and Television of the GDR . From 1973 to 1975 he was a master class student at the HFF. His main exam film was When the Salt Runs Out on Sundays and his diploma film Two Chapters . He presented his diploma thesis with socialist-realistic positions of fairy tale interpretation in the film "Six come through the world" . With the television film Lasset die Kindlein… directed by Evelyn Schmidt and broadcast in 1976 , Geick made his debut as a cameraman for a feature film. 1983 Geick was together with Reiner Bredemeyer , Erwin Burkert , Irene Busch , Lothar Keil and Peter Voigt for the six-part miniseries Busch sings - six films about the first half of the 20th century , "with which an exemplary artistic chronicle of the struggles of the working class against imperialism and Fascism was designed ”, was awarded the GDR's national prize, 2nd class, for art and literature .
