history

In April 2011, the Minister of Youth and Sports of South Sudan, Makuac Teny Youk , arranged for the Provisional Football Association to be established to administer soccer in South Sudan.

This association organized, marketed and administered all affairs of South Sudanese football for one year. The organization consisted of 17 members in total.

In April 2012, Chabur Goc Alei replaced Oliver Mori Benjamin as President of the SSAF. In November 2016, Alei was suspended by the board of directors because he was accused, among other things, of transferring US $ 400,000 from association funds to an unknown private account. In April 2017, Adelmo Wani Agustino was elected as his successor: he will initially fill this office on a temporary basis until the allegations against Alei have been clarified.
